On Thursday, July 23, Ukraine received a second tranche from the International Monetary Fund totaling approximately $690 million as part of a new four-year program.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi announced this on Telegram.

According to the head of government, the allocated funds have already been transferred to the state budget and will be specifically used to support the country’s macrofinancial stability, in particular to ensure uninterrupted financing of priority expenditures.

As a reminder, on June 25, Ukraine received the first tranche of a loan from the European Union, amounting to 3.2 billion euros. The funds were directed toward strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities and social resilience.
