Starting September 1, the government will increase teachers' salaries by 20% and double student scholarships.
Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi made this statement.
Today, at a government meeting, officials discussed the readiness of educational institutions for the new school year. A representative from the Ministry of Education and Science reported on the status of preparations for the new school year. All educational institutions must be fully ready by September 1.
The top priority is the safety of students and teachers. Construction of shelters is continuing, and communities are being provided with school buses.

Koretsky emphasized that despite Russian attacks on printing houses and warehouses, students in all grades must be provided with a full set of textbooks.
Plans are in place to provide free meals to more than 3 million schoolchildren.
As a reminder, parents of future first-graders can already apply for government assistance. Five thousand hryvnias in assistance are allocated for the purchase of school supplies, clothing, and shoes.
In addition, the government has changed the rules for electricity distribution to critical facilities. Lists of critically important facilities will now be compiled separately for the winter and summer periods.
