What Kravchenko Said
Attorney General Ruslan Kravchenko recorded a video message in which he stated that he had signed a notice of suspicion against NABU Director Semen Kryvonos. Specifically, the charges relate to the alleged forgery of official documents to obtain an unlawful benefit on an exceptionally large scale.
He accused NABU and the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) of illegally seizing materials from criminal proceedings against their employees during searches conducted as part of Operation “Carthage.”
The so-called “Carthage” operation was not directed solely against me. Its true purpose was to gain access to materials from criminal proceedings involving the leadership and staff of NABU and the SAPO. And after that—to remove the Prosecutor General and halt the adoption of procedural decisions in these cases.

He also reported that a person close to SAPO head Oleksandr Klymenko is suspected of allegedly influencing the head of the High Anti-Corruption Court, offering him an unlawful benefit, and aiding in evading mobilization. According to People’s Deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko, the individual in question is Klymenko’s wife.
Later, the texts of the charges were posted on Ruslan Kravchenko’s Telegram page. The post also noted that the charges were registered in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations and forwarded in accordance with the law. Even later, he stated that he was “abroad on a business trip.”

This prosecutor general has only one path: dismissal from office. That is exactly what I told him. Ukraine has seen all the reasons. If he considers this political pressure, let him call it that. I ask members of parliament to support this dismissal without delay.

What NABU and SAPO Stated
NABU and the SAPO have issued official statements. They emphasize that they view the Prosecutor General’s actions as a continuation of a systematic attack on independent anti-corruption agencies.
As of now, no formal charges have been officially filed against NABU Director Semen Kryvonos. Likewise, NABU has not withdrawn any criminal cases referred to in the Prosecutor General’s statements. All claims regarding the alleged seizure of such cases by NABU are untrue.

According to the “Anti-Corruption Action Center,” Ruslan Kravchenko left the country last night. Vitaliy Shabunin, head of the “Anti-Corruption Action Center,” writes that “Zelenskyy allowed Kravchenko to flee abroad in exchange for charging the director of NABU (and someone close to the SAPO).”
It is obvious that the video recorded by Kravchenko has nothing to do with actual procedural work or evidence, but is instead an act of revenge and an attempt to divert attention from his own involvement in protecting call centers. After all, a year ago, it was Kravchenko himself and his now-fired colleague Maria Vdovichenko who personally signed procedural documents in criminal cases against NABU detectives—cases that are now falling apart or have already been closed.

MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak recalled that President Zelenskyy had a meeting with Kravchenko on September 7. Following that meeting, he added, news of the resignation broke without any signed document.

What will happen today? A signed and served notice of suspicion are two different things. Therefore, after the notice is signed, it must be served. And here, one of two things will happen: either the prosecutors will go to NABU to serve the notice of suspicion on Kryvonos, or they’ll summon Kryvonos to the Office of the Prosecutor General. Next, either the Pechersky or the Shevchenkivsky District Court will most likely consider a motion to suspend Kryvonos from his position for the duration of the investigation or for two months.
