Member of Parliament Mariana Bezuhla has returned to the “Servant of the People” parliamentary faction after spending two years outside its ranks. Previously, she was an independent.

The lawmaker reported this on her Facebook page.

Mariana Bezuhla had been a member of the “Servant of the People” faction since the beginning of the 9th convocation of the Verkhovna Rada.

On July 17, 2024, her departure from the faction at her own request was officially recorded. She remained an independent lawmaker in parliament.

She explained why she returned to “Servant of the People”: to establish a special commission on military justice—which cannot be headed by an independent MP—and to have the guaranteed right to participate in all meetings, where she would not be silenced, of course. Perhaps this is temporary

As a reminder, two new deputies have joined the Verkhovna Rada. During the Verkhovna Rada’s plenary session on August 18, Viktoria Reznikova and Bohdan Morklyanyk took the oath of office as deputies of Ukraine. Both were elected as deputies from the “Servant of the People” party based on the electoral list formed following the results of the 2019 parliamentary elections.
