Ukraine is calling for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council in response to the latest massive Russian strikes. Kyiv has also urged the presidency of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Council members to support this request.

Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga announced this on the social media platform X. ⠀

According to the official, every Russian missile fired at Ukrainian territory carries a message that extends far beyond our borders. ⠀

Its purpose is to convince the world that violence can replace the law, that fear is stronger than solidarity, and that cruelty goes unpunished⠀

The head of the Foreign Ministry emphasized that any delay or weak response from the world cannot stop the terror, as only decisive, principled, and timely action can do so. ⠀

The international community must unite to deter the aggressor and continue to promote a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace in accordance with the UN Charter

It has been reported that during the massive nighttime attack on Kyiv, Ukraine’s air defense system was unable to intercept any ballistic missiles or six “Zircon” missiles. Therefore, the Ukrainian Minister of Defense will hold a series of talks today with his counterparts — the defense ministers of countries that have missiles for Patriot systems in their stockpiles.
