The President of Ukraine noted that it is very important to choose the right candidates for the position of Ukrainian ambassador to the United States.
The President of Ukraine spoke about this during a meeting with journalists.
Zelenskyy noted that he had devoted the previous day specifically to personnel matters. He met with Poklad, Ivashchenko, Budanov, the heads of the NABU and the SAPO, and the Prosecutor General. Decisions have been made on these matters.
Regarding the Ukrainian ambassador to Washington, Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that this is very important for Ukraine.
We need an ambassador to the U.S.; we need patriots. There are candidates. I won’t name them yet, but first and foremost, I need to receive a detailed report—not only from the Security Service of Ukraine but also from NABU.

He noted that he is awaiting additional information and will then make a decision.
As a reminder, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that he is discussing the issue of licenses for Patriot production directly with U.S. President Donald Trump, but for now, Ukraine must prepare for winter. Therefore, the “winter package” is currently the higher priority.
