“Mysterious” Fires in Russia: A Gas-Chemical Complex Is Burning Nearly 6,000 km from Ukraine’s Borders

In Russia's Amur Region, a pyrolysis unit at the AGHK—a key component of ethylene and propylene production—caught fire. Local residents are sharing photos and videos showing a large plume of smoke and a massive fire.
This was reported by the Exilenova+ Telegram channel.
According to available data, the complex is currently in the commissioning phase prior to entering commercial operation.
As noted by Exilenova+, the Amur Gas Chemical Complex is located about 6,000 km from the Ukrainian border.
It is also reported that the blast wave significantly damaged part of the facilities on the plant’s grounds.
Locals reported that numerous fire trucks and ambulances were heading toward the plant.
