A spokesperson for Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs spoke about China's concerns regarding cooperation between Russia and North Korea

Georgiy Tykhyy, a spokesperson for the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, spoke about this in an interview with “Shelter.”

“As far as we know, China, to be honest, isn’t very happy about this direct cooperation between Russia and North Korea, because Russia is supplying a lot to North Korea. That also creates problems. China has its own dialogue with the Republic of Korea, and there is also a somewhat complicated dialogue with Japan,” he added.

According to him, China does not want destabilization on the Korean Peninsula.

“But Russia is creating this destabilization by supplying weapons to North Korea and, for example, teaching them how to operate drones. This represents an entirely different level of threat if North Korea gains experience and access to such technologies. These are threats to the Republic of Korea, to Japan, to the entire region, and even to the Pacific. It’s not that simple—everything is interconnected,” the Ukrainian diplomat emphasized.

As a reminder, Tykhyy commented on the preparations for the meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, and U.S. President Donald Trump.
