On the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in the United States, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy honored the memory of the victims and emphasized the need for a united response to terrorism by the civilized world.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy made this statement.

According to the president, September 11 remains a tragic day for the entire world, and special tribute must be paid to those who tried to save others during the attacks.

The President also recalled NATO’s response to the terrorist attacks. According to him, following the attacks, the Alliance demonstrated unity, and the invocation of Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty signaled a collective response to terrorist threats.

This means that if people want to preserve their civilization and their choice to protect their rights, freedoms, and values, there must be a response to any enemy or terrorist. Because evil must be punished

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense also honored the memory of the victims of the tragedy. Officials there emphasized that the events of September 11 demonstrated the consequences of terror and the politics of hatred, as well as the need for international unity in the face of common threats.

We would also like to remind you that during the largest terrorist attack by Russian occupiers in Olenivka against the defenders of Mariupol, more than 50 Ukrainian soldiers were killed, 130 were wounded, and many of those who survived the explosion remain in enemy captivity.
