On the evening of August 27, Russian troops attacked Zaporizhzhia with strike drones. The city’s residential neighborhoods were hit; residential buildings were damaged, and two women were injured.

As a reminder, Russian troops are attempting to use the bed of the dried-up Kakhovka Reservoir as a concealed route to advance toward Zaporizhzhia. After the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant, the territory of the former reservoir has become overgrown with reeds, shrubs, and willows, making it difficult to monitor troop movements. According to military sources, the Russians have already deployed hundreds of fighters there and are setting up observation posts and troop assembly points.
