The General Staff confirmed the destruction of Russian MiG-29s and Ka-27s

The Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of Russian military targets; in particular, the destruction of a Russian MiG-29 fighter jet and a Ka-27 helicopter has been confirmed.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Based on an analysis of the data, the General Staff confirmed the destruction of a Russian Ka-27 helicopter on August 30 near the “Yeisk” airfield in the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation.
It has also been confirmed that on August 27, 2026, a Russian MiG-29 aircraft was destroyed near the Millerovo airfield in the Rostov Region of the Russian Federation.
According to confirmed reports, on September 1 and during the night of September 2, a number of Russian military facilities were struck:
- in Volodymyrivka, Donetsk Oblast—an enemy ammunition depot;
- in Ocheretine, Donetsk Oblast—a logistics depot belonging to one of the units of the Russian occupation forces;
- in Rechitsa, Bryansk Oblast, Russian Federation—a Defense Forces location where enemy weapons and military equipment were concentrated (the extent of the damage is being determined).
As a reminder, on August 31 and during the night of September 1, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck drone launch sites, a communications hub, a command and observation post, and Russian military depots. It has also been confirmed that on August 30, a launch pad and a UAV storage facility were struck in the Tsymbulova area of Russia’s Oryol Oblast.
