Ukrainian defense forces struck two tankers, the patrol ship “Svetlyak,” an oil terminal, the “Slavneft-Yanos” oil refinery, and a number of other Russian military targets. The operation was carried out on July 16 and during the night of July 17 as part of efforts to reduce the aggressor country’s military and economic capabilities.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to military sources, two tankers – one of which is a gas carrier – as well as a tugboat were struck in the Black and Azov Seas. The General Staff noted that these vessels were being used to transport Russian oil, petroleum products, and liquefied gas in circumvention of international sanctions, as well as to transport fuel for the Russian Armed Forces.

In addition, the Defense Forces struck the Project 10410 patrol ship “Svetlyak” in Kerch, the “TES-Terminal-1” oil terminal, and a fuel and lubricants depot in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

Also targeted were the “Shakhtarsk” oil depot in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk Oblast, the railway bridge across the Kalmius River near Staromariivka, and a road bridge in the Kozino area of the Kursk Oblast of the Russian Federation, which Russian troops use for military logistics.

Separately, the General Staff confirmed that the “Slavneft-Yanos” oil refinery in Yaroslavl had been struck. A fire broke out on the plant’s premises following the strike. This is one of Russia’s largest oil refineries, which supplies fuel, in particular for the aggressor country’s military-industrial complex.

In addition, the Ukrainian military struck an enemy logistics depot near Pokrovsk and a command and observation post in the Novotroitsk area of the Donetsk region.

The General Staff noted that the results of the strikes and the extent of the damage are being assessed.

As a reminder, on the night of July 16, as part of efforts to reduce Russia’s military and economic potential, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a number of key enemy targets.
