The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported a successful operation by Ukrainian defenders at the Russian “Khalino” airfield in the Kursk region, which resulted in the destruction of enemy aircraft and air defense equipment.
The General Staff’s press service reported this on Telegram.
According to the agency, the mission was carried out by soldiers of the 15th Separate Artillery Reconnaissance Brigade “Black Forest,” who successfully struck a Russian MiG-29 fighter jet, as well as a “Pantsir-S1” air defense missile and gun system.
As a reminder, on July 1, Ukrainian drones struck hangars housing Su-30 and Su-30SM fighters at the “Saki” airfield in occupied Crimea. At least five hits by SBU drones have been confirmed.
Also, on July 9, the Ukrainian Defense Forces released a video showing the successful destruction of a Russian Su-35 fighter jet.
