Torture at the TCC in Odesa Oblast: Number of Suspects in the Case Rises to 13

The State Bureau of Investigation has announced new charges against employees of a district recruitment center in the Odesa region who were involved in the unlawful detention of and violence against citizens.
This was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigations.
With the assistance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s Military Law Enforcement Service, SBI officers identified four more employees of the district military registration and enlistment office involved in the unlawful detention of conscripts.
The suspects have been notified that they are suspected of unlawful deprivation of liberty and kidnapping, committed by a group of individuals acting in concert and resulting in physical suffering to the victim (Part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Thus, the total number of suspects in this case has now risen to 13.
The agency noted that in June, a group of nine individuals was exposed: six of them were employees of the same district TCC, and three were representatives of a local civic organization.
As a reminder, Acting National Police Chief Maksym Tsutsikiridze stated that the agency had notified 76 TCC heads of charges of abuse of power. The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the possible illegal deferment of nearly 2,500 conscripts, and 6,500 illegal decisions by the Medical Examination Commission have been overturned.
