Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Russia will not stop at the front lines, but will make its own methods of combat “much tougher in order to destroy everything that fuels Kyiv’s war machine from the West.”
He made this statement in an interview with the Russian television network “VGTRK,” which was published on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
According to Lavrov, Russia is already testing tougher methods.
It is no coincidence that more and more voices from various parts of our shared space are calling for an immediate halt. This will not work. We must stop only when there is a long-term, reliable, and sustainable settlement

The Russian diplomat also emphasized that if the invaders were to stop at the front line, Russia would, in essence, “allow the heroic deeds of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers, who defeated Nazism, to be erased.”
Lavrov argues that people in Russia are allegedly suffering and dying “as a result of these terrorist acts.” Therefore, he says, this is a matter of “responsibility for the millennia-long history of the Russian state.”
As a reminder, back in June, Lavrov stated that Russia does not consider a ceasefire along the front lines to be a condition for starting negotiations regarding the war against Ukraine.
