Maersk Suspends Operations at the Port of Chornomorsk Due to Russian Strikes

Maersk Ukraine announced this on its Telegram channel.

The decision was made due to the current situation, which directly affects the company’s operations.

The logistics operator cannot continue operations at the Black Sea Fishing Port until further notice.

Ships already en route to the port will be rerouted to the Port of Constanța in Romania.

Similarly, all import shipments currently in Port Said (Egypt) or awaiting arrival there are scheduled to be rerouted. The company will coordinate with customers regarding the further transport of cargo from Romania to Ukraine.

For further shipment of cargo from Romania to Ukraine, as well as to coordinate delivery options, transit times, and associated costs, the company has asked customers to contact the Delivery Department.

Regarding shipments from Ukraine, Maersk has offered customers free cancellation of bookings without penalties or the option to make changes.

As a reminder, on July 18, Russia struck a vessel in the port of Odesa region: four crew members were injured. The attack on a civilian vessel flying the Togolese flag resulted in five fatalities and ten injuries.
