A Russian jet-powered drone struck a passenger train in the Odesa region: there are fatalities

In the Odesa region, an enemy Shahed drone struck a passenger train directly. Two railway workers-the engineer and his assistant-were killed in the Russian attack.
The Ukrzaliznytsia press office reported this on Telegram.

Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, clarified that the evacuation of passengers from the train has been completed. Among them were 67 children.
The strike hit the locomotive, and two people were killed, the Regional State Administration noted.
Under the coordination of the Odesa Regional Military Administration and thanks to the joint efforts of all relevant services, people were quickly evacuated from the site of the strike. They were then transported by 12 buses to a safe location in Odesa

The company noted that, despite the deadly threat, the locomotive crew continued to operate the train to allow the 340 passengers to safely exit the cars. Thanks to these actions, all passengers, along with the train crew, were successfully evacuated. There were no casualties.
Ukrzaliznytsia also promised to provide the families of the deceased with all necessary support.
As a reminder, on July 18, Russian troops struck a passenger train in the Zaporizhzhia region with a drone. All passengers, as well as the locomotive and train crews, were evacuated in a timely manner.
Also, on July 19, the invaders again attacked a passenger train in the region with a drone. A female conductor was wounded in the Russian strike.
