Prototypes of interceptors for "Shahed" jets have already been developed, and final adjustments are underway, – Zelenskyy

This was reported by Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to the president, the main issue discussed at the High Command meeting was accelerating all processes related to the production of high-speed interceptor drones.

Ukraine already has manufacturers capable of carrying out this task.

Zelenskyy thanked Ukrainian developers who are working on creating new air defense systems.

During the meeting, they also discussed in detail the possibilities of involving the private sector in the production, supply, and configuration of certain types of air defense systems. This is intended to strengthen Ukraine’s defenses amid Russia’s ramp-up of production of high-speed air attack vehicles.

Zelenskyy also noted that Ukrainian intelligence has information about the enemy’s plans to develop high-speed attack vehicles. According to him, Ukrainian resources are being directed toward preparing a response to this threat.

In addition, Ukraine plans to act not only by strengthening its defenses but also through asymmetric measures. The relevant operations have already been approved.

As a reminder, on August 30, Ukrainian Defense Minister Yevhen Khmara told reporters about the Kremlin’s real objectives and the development of four “Shahed” jet interceptors.
