Ukrainian intelligence has not detected any signs that Russia is ready for peace. Despite Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s proposals to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin regarding a ceasefire in the air, a halt to attacks on energy infrastructure, a freeze on the war along the front lines, and a willingness to meet in person and negotiate, the Kremlin is sticking to its position.

This was reported by Major General Vadym Skibitsky, deputy head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.

According to intelligence reports, the situation on the battlefield indicates that Moscow has no intention of ceasing fire.

Their plans are as follows, and this is what they are saying: there will be no agreements or signing of a peace treaty by the end of this year

Putin’s main goal remains the achievement of his previously set objectives, primarily the occupation of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and the General Staff of the Russian Federation plans to complete the full capture of the Donetsk region by the end of this year, Skibitsky concluded.

As a reminder, Ukraine, through an intermediary, conveyed a proposal to Russia to temporarily cease attacks on civilian targets and shipping in the Black Sea.
