The SSU dismantled a russian military intelligence agents ring that was targeting F-16 and Mirage fighter jets

This was reported by the SSU press service.

According to the investigation, the hostile network consisted of 14 individuals from various regions of Ukraine.

The key agent turned out to be a resident of Lviv—the administrator of a Telegram channel about aviation, who had previously posted photos of Ukrainian Armed Forces fighter jets in pro-Kremlin chat rooms.

After receiving instructions from a handler in Russia, the blogger secretly recruited 13 of his subscribers who had professional equipment and lived near military airfields.

Under the pretext of gathering content for the channel, they photographed the locations and infrastructure of the airfields, the deployment and movements of F-16 and Mirage 2000 aircraft, pilots and technical personnel, as well as the times of takeoffs and landings.

During searches of the suspects’ premises, digital photography equipment and smartphones containing evidence of their activities, as well as detailed photographs of the Defense Forces’ aviation facilities, were seized.

In addition, SSU specialists blocked 4 Telegram channels and 10 thematic groups through which information about Ukrainian aviation was disseminated.

As a reminder, the counterintelligence unit of the Security Service of Ukraine detained an employee of a well-known retail chain in Poltava who had been recruited by the Federal Security Service of the Russian. The suspect was coordinating enemy missile and bomb strikes on targets along the Poltava–Kharkiv highway.
