Due to the Russian army's constant and intense shelling, the authorities have ordered a mandatory evacuation from new neighborhoods and streets in Kherson.
This was announced by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, following a meeting of the Regional Defense Council.
In Kherson itself, the following areas are now subject to mandatory evacuation:
- the “Tekstilny” neighborhood;
- certain major streets in the Central, Korabelny, and Dniprovsky districts, specifically Universitetskaya, Teatralnaya, Belorusskaya, and Kommunalnaya;
- all streets and alleys located in the direction of the Koshova and Dnipro rivers (the coastal zone most affected by the attacks).
All families with children are now strictly prohibited from entering these neighborhoods and streets due to the constant threat to life.
In addition to the regional center, the mandatory evacuation has also been extended to the rest of the region. People will be evacuated from the village of Zelenivka, the village of Charivne, and all settlements in the Khreshchenivsky Starosta District.
As a reminder, the Chernihiv Regional Defense Council has approved a decision on the mandatory evacuation of residents from 12 settlements in four border communities.
