Off the coast of Romania, approximately 20 nautical miles from shore and outside the country's territorial waters, the Liberian-flagged LPG tanker Gas Lisbon suffered an accident.

Romanian President Nicușor Dan announced this on his X page.

The vessel was en route from the Egyptian port of Alexandria to the Ukrainian port of Reni.

Two boats from the Romanian Agency for the Safety of Human Life at Sea arrived at the scene and successfully evacuated the entire crew, including three injured sailors.

A special tugboat is also operating at the scene of the accident.

Dan stated that this incident is part of the Russian Federation’s aggression against Ukraine.

Government agencies are on high alert and will investigate the circumstances, causes, and responsibility for this serious incident, which is most likely part of the Russian Federation’s illegal war of aggression against Ukraine.

We would also like to remind you that India summoned a Russian diplomat to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs over the deaths of sailors on the attacked merchant ship. The incident occurred on July 19.

In addition, on July 14, two ships flying the flags of Tanzania and Liberia were hit by a Russian attack on civilian vessels. The captain of one of the ships was killed.
