Drones for Ukraine and Europe will be manufactured in Finland: documents have been signed

Ukraine and Finland are deepening their cooperation in the field of defense technologies. Ukrainian companies have agreed to develop and manufacture drones in Finland, advance the development of unmanned maritime systems, and establish a company to produce ground-based robotic systems.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on his Telegram channel.
It is noted that Zelenskyy, together with Finnish President Alexander Stubb, took part in a roundtable discussion on Ukrainian-Finnish cooperation in the defense industry.
Today we are taking another step toward deepening our cooperation by combining Ukrainian combat experience with Finnish technology. Our companies have signed agreements on the development and manufacture in Finland of drones for the needs of Ukraine and Europe, the expansion of capabilities in the field of unmanned maritime systems, and the establishment of a company to produce ground-based robotic systems.

The President of Ukraine emphasized that “on these important dates – National Flag Day and on the eve of Independence Day – we especially feel the value of true friendship.” He also thanked Stubb, the government, Finnish businesses, and the entire Finnish people for standing with Ukraine from the very first days of this war.
As a reminder, on August 21, it was reported that the Finnish technology company Innokas and the Ukrainian drone developer Airlogix intend to establish production facilities in Finland to manufacture unmanned systems using Ukrainian technology. The partnership is being implemented as part of the “Build with Ukraine” initiative.
