The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has documented a targeted information and psychological operation aimed at discrediting the new Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Drapatyi.
This was reported by Dmytro Lykhoviy, a spokesperson for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
To spread disinformation, the enemy is using artificial intelligence, bot networks, and fake social media accounts.
A central element of the enemy’s campaign has been an AI-generated claim of an alleged “public feud” between the new and former leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which anonymous sources and certain pseudo-experts began to spread.
Military experts are in all seriousness spreading, via bot accounts, an AI-generated narrative about a fictional public quarrel between the new and old General Staff. The fabricated story—that Drapatyi announced some kind of audit within the Armed Forces—has already taken on a life of its own. That he used his own money to set up a charitable foundation for the wounded, and sent the TCC to the front lines. No, the part about the audit is a lie. Commander-in-Chief Drapatyi has not ordered anything of the sort at this time. The claims about the foundation, the quarrel, and the TCC are also untrue.

As a reminder, a number of Ukrainian media outlets spread information about the start of an “audit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine” from a fake page belonging to Commander-in-Chief Mykhailo Drapatyi on X. However, this information is not true, and the source has no connection whatsoever to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
