Several UAV strikes were reported in Kharkiv; two children were injured

On the night of August 2, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with strike drones. Hits were recorded in the Industrial and Kyiv districts of the city; two children were injured as a result of the attack.
This was reported by Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov on Telegram.
Strikes on Two Districts of Kharkiv
On the night of August 2, Russian forces launched a drone strike on Kharkiv. According to preliminary reports, several enemy UAVs struck the city’s Industrial District. Information regarding the extent of the damage and other consequences is being verified.
Separately, there are reports of a “Molniya”-type drone striking the Kyivsky District of Kharkiv. Specialized services are on the scene assessing the consequences of the attack.
Two children were injured
As of this morning, two children, aged 8 and 13, are known to have been injured. Medical personnel diagnosed them with acute stress reaction.
Authorities are continuing to gather information on the consequences of the nighttime attack and are inspecting the impact sites in two districts of the city.
As a reminder, law enforcement in the Kharkiv region has completed a pre-trial investigation into a 53-year-old monk from a men’s monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The indictment, prepared by police investigators in collaboration with the Security Service of Ukraine, has already been submitted to the court. The man is suspected of raping and sexually abusing children.
