At least one person was killed and 15 others were wounded in an evening attack by Russian forces on the Kramatorsk community in Donetsk Oblast. According to preliminary reports, the occupiers used aerial bombs.
This was reported by Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and head of the regional military administration, on Telegram.
Evening Attack
Between 8:30 p.m. and 8:56 p.m., Russian troops attacked Kramatorsk and the village of Bilenke eight times. In Kramatorsk, a strike was recorded in a residential area.
An apartment building was damaged as a result of the strike. Information regarding other possible damage is currently being verified.
Consequences of the Strikes
Emergency services are on the scene. They are assisting the victims and assessing the full extent of the damage caused by the Russian attack.
Residents of the Donetsk region are urged to ensure their own safety and consider evacuating to safer regions of Ukraine.
As a reminder, on the night of August 13, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of Russian military facilities on the territory of the Russian Federation and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. In particular, a Russian “Nebo-U” radar station in Sevastopol was hit.
