A fire broke out at the port of Ust-Luga in Russia following a drone attack

This was reported by Alexander Drozdenko, governor of the Leningrad Region.

According to Drozdenco, emergency services are on the scene following the attack. At the time of his statement, efforts to repel the attack were still underway.

Russian authorities have not specified which facility in the port area was damaged. The extent of the damage is currently being assessed.

According to the governor, 52 drones were reportedly shot down over the Leningrad Region overnight.

Ust-Luga is one of Russia’s largest commercial seaports on the Baltic Sea. It is located on the coast of the Gulf of Finland.

Significant volumes of strategic cargo pass through the port, including oil, petroleum products, coal, and fertilizers.

We also recall that on the night of August 31, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of military facilities belonging to the Russian occupiers.
