A 4-year-old girl and her mother were killed during a morning attack in Chernihiv

This was reported by the press office of the Chernihiv City Council.

Pharmacy assistant Olena Bila and her 4-year-old daughter Zhanna were killed. Olena’s 14-year-old daughter is currently in the hospital under medical supervision.

Colleagues remember Olena as a kind and cheerful person, as well as a dedicated professional.

The Chernihiv City Council announced that August 26 has been declared a Day of Mourning in the city. The press office noted that two people were killed in Chernihiv as a result of strikes carried out by the Russian military: a 4-year-old child and a 49-year-old woman.

The State Emergency Service provided further details on the consequences of the Russian attack on Chernihiv on the evening of August 25. Fires broke out in three outbuildings in the city. Preliminary reports indicate that two children were injured.

Today, August 26, a private residential building was destroyed by an enemy strike. According to preliminary reports, three people were inside the building at the time of the strike.

It is noted that farm buildings were also damaged. A fire broke out in a nearby store as well.

The Chernihiv City Council extends its sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of those who died. 

As a reminder, on August 25, Russian troops attacked Chernihiv with more than ten drones. In particular, two Russian drones crashed in the city, injuring at least three people.
