“All of the special military operation’s objectives will be achieved”: Putin Addresses Members of the Russian State Duma

The Kremlin leader assured that Moscow is allegedly capable of repelling all “hostile actions” and “achieving all the goals of its special military operation,” and that the main priority of the Russian budget for the upcoming “three-year period” will be to further strengthen defense capabilities.

At the same time, the dictator once again complained that, due to their inability to defeat Russia on the battlefield, its opponents have allegedly resorted to “terrorist methods.”

In his speech, Putin devoted special attention to sanctions pressure, calling the West’s measures “unprecedented” in number, yet he continues to insist that the sanctions harm their initiators, not Russia.

Despite his statements about resilience, Putin effectively confirmed that Russian society and the economy must prepare for further costs associated with a protracted war against Ukraine.

As a reminder, during a meeting with servicemen of the Russian Navy, Vladimir Putin stated that Ukraine would allegedly lose its western territories “sooner or later.” He also repeated a series of propaganda claims regarding Ukraine’s history and the situation in the country.
