Zelenskyy confirmed successful attacks on ships in the Caspian Sea and targets in four regions of Russia

Details of the special operation were provided by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the SBU press service.

The head of state emphasized that these attacks are a response to the daily shelling of Ukrainian cities and noted that “long-range sanctions” are aimed at targets that are fueling this war.

SBU Special Operation in the Caspian Sea

The waters of the Caspian Sea were one of the key locations of the nighttime attack. According to the SBU, the security service’s long-range drones struck a number of important enemy military and logistical targets:

• a Project 12418 “Molniya” missile boat;
• the cargo ships Port Olya 2 and the dry cargo ship Begey—both vessels are subject to international sanctions and were actively used by Russia to transport military cargo from Iran;
• an oil production platform at the “Filanovskoye” field.

The SBU emphasized that these actions constitute a lawful response, within the framework of the right to self-defense, to Russia’s attempts to block Ukrainian shipping and its shelling of Ukraine’s southern ports.

Neutralization of air defense systems and warehouses in Rostov-on-Don

At the same time, SBU drones carried out precision strikes against the occupiers’ military-industrial infrastructure and air defense systems in Rostov-on-Don.

As a result of the attack, the following were hit and destroyed:

• The 92N6E “Grave Stone” multifunctional radar station and its antenna tower (components of the S-400 “Triumph” air defense system);
• The “Tor-M2” anti-aircraft missile system;
• The “Pole-21” electronic warfare (EW) system;
• Two depots containing FPV drones.

Strikes Deep Behind Russian Lines

In addition to the Caspian Sea and Rostov, Ukrainian weapons reached defense and fuel industry facilities deep behind the aggressor state’s lines:

• Kirov (over 1,200 km from the border): a factory supplying critical components for the production of Russian weapons was struck again;
• Tyumen: a local oil refinery was struck;
• Yekaterinburg: a large logistics facility was struck.

Assessments of the enemy’s final losses and the extent of the damage are ongoing.

As a reminder, on the night of July 25, a fire broke out near the “Engels-2” military airfield in Engels, Saratov Oblast, Russia. According to OSINT analysts, the fire engulfed a building where a military unit is likely located.

Overall, on the night of July 25, a number of regions in Russia came under drone attack. In the Rostov region, a series of explosions triggered fires, damaged civilian and border infrastructure, and resulted in casualties.
