President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that personnel decisions are being prepared to strengthen defenses along the most intense sections of the front.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this in a statement following a briefing on the situation at the front.
Specifically, this concerns the areas around Kostiantynivka, the Sloviansk and Pokrovsk sectors, where the Ukrainian command has received updated information regarding the Russian army’s objectives.

Separately, during the meeting, they discussed the protection of Ukrainian cities, communities, and frontline logistics from Russian attack drones. The Minister of Defense reported on the current status of such protection.
Zelenskyy also spoke about the discussion of the results of Ukrainian forces’ long-range operations during the first half of August. The parties confirmed the priority targets for strikes in the coming weeks and in September.
The President emphasized that, in his view, the confirmed losses on the Russian side demonstrate the effectiveness of Ukraine’s chosen course toward developing long-range capabilities.
