More than a thousand strikes in a day: One person was killed and others were wounded in Zaporizhzhia as a result of enemy shelling

Over the past 24 hours, on July 31, Russian occupation forces carried out more than a thousand strikes on the territory of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, using aircraft, drones, artillery, and multiple-launch rocket systems. As a result of the shelling, there has been one fatality and several injuries among the civilian population.
This was reported by Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
As a result of enemy attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district, one person was killed and two others were wounded.
In total, over the past 24 hours, the occupiers carried out 1,026 strikes on 56 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region.
The main intensity of the shelling was concentrated in the following areas:
- Drone strikes: 786 UAVs of various types (primarily FPV drones) attacked the regional capital, suburbs, and frontline communities;
- Artillery shelling: 220 strikes from tube artillery were recorded;
- Airstrikes: enemy aircraft carried out 17 strikes on populated areas in the region;
- Rocket artillery: 3 attacks were carried out using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
Local authorities and law enforcement received 68 reports of damage. Critical and civilian infrastructure, private and multi-family residential buildings, as well as citizens’ private vehicles, sustained damage.
As a reminder, late in the evening on July 30, Zaporizhzhia came under a combined Russian attack involving drones and guided aerial bombs. Buildings and non-residential premises were damaged.
