The General Staff has denied reports that military personnel are prohibited from giving interviews and speaking publicly

This is stated on the agency’s Facebook page.

The agency emphasized that such claims are untrue. The Armed Forces of Ukraine operate in accordance with current laws and regulations governing interaction with the media during martial law.

The General Staff explained that individual directives may be sent to the troops to clarify the implementation of existing orders. One of the most recent directives concerned exclusively the dissemination of information about changes in the operational situation in combat zones.

According to the General Staff, such restrictions are intended to ensure the safety of troops and protect classified information, not to prohibit military personnel from communicating with journalists.

The agency emphasized that the relevant directive does not contain any bans on interacting with the media, public appearances, interviews, or statements.

As a reminder, Alina Mikhailova previously stated that she was contacted by representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), who demanded that she provide information about Dmytro Kozyatynskyi, one of the organizers of rallies in support of Mykhailo Fedorov.

Later, military personnel and members of the public began reporting systematic pressure on servicemembers who had publicly supported former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.
