The Prosecutor's Office has released a video of the assassination attempt on Yermolayev in Monaco

The perpetrators had installed a hidden camera at the scene of the planned attack in advance to record the businessman’s death and report back to the person who ordered the hit.

They attempted to completely destroy the key piece of evidence in the case, but thanks to cybersecurity experts from the Security Service of Ukraine, the deleted video recording was fully recovered. The video has now been added to the investigation files.

Law enforcement officials are currently gathering additional evidence to map out, step by step, the role of each participant in the criminal scheme.

As a reminder, on June 29, a device planted on the doorstep of the home where Ukrainian businessman Vadym Yermolayev lived exploded in Monaco. As a result of the incident, members of his family sustained serious injuries, and law enforcement officials are leaning toward the theory that the attack was organized by members of criminal groups linked to a network of call centers in Dnipro.

The main suspect in organizing the explosion in Monaco turned out to be a Ukrainian citizen who was disguised as a man during the attack. The Prosecutor General’s Office initiated the creation of an international investigative team to look into the Monaco assassination attempt.

On the evening of July 6, a woman suspected of attempting to murder Yermolayev was found shot to death near Kyiv. Later, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) confirmed the woman’s murder and discovered a suspected torture chamber at the home of one of the detained killers.
