Dnipro Mayor Boris Filatov revealed new details about American blogger Laura Loomer’s visit to Dnipro, which took place in late July 2026.
Boris Filatov told "Shelter" about this.
In particular, the Dnipro mayor recounted how U.S. President Donald Trump called Laura Loomer while he was present.
She came to see everything with her own eyes. And I think she saw what she was looking for… She said, “I want to see Nazis here…” It was a very hectic schedule; even while I was there, Donald Trump called her… They said, “Please, everyone, step outside.” She came out and said, “I told the president that I’m in Dnipro right now and I really liked it.”

He also noted that Laura Loomer visited the main center of the Jewish community in Dnipro and spoke with the rabbi.
“She saw an event… where children were having their hair cut. She was very impressed by the scale of it—that Dnipro has the largest center in Ukraine. Our rabbi, Shmuel Kaminetsky, told her everything. It was easier because he’s from America himself; they spoke English as if it were their native language. He had no trouble at all and explained everything to her in simple terms,” Filatov noted.
Then, according to him, he arranged a meeting between Laura Loomer and some Protestant pastors.
“There were also young men who had been held captive in Russia, and young men from Zaporizhzhia, where the KAB had flown to a Baptist church. They told her all about it… I arranged her visit so that she would have the opportunity to interact more with people. Because I’m the mayor, and in any case, I’ll be telling her what a beautiful, multicultural place we have. We drove around to the sites where the rockets had struck. Moreover, I showed her—we have, you know, as they say, a twist of fate. We had a landing site near our art museum. The Center for Russian Orthodox Culture was right next to it. And a rocket hit right there,” Filatov said.
“They’re firing on their own. That’s why we didn’t have, let’s say, an interview with her. They were filming clips, and I’m hoping—well, she said she’s going to make this big movie about Ukraine. And it’ll include everything—all the meetings, everyone she had the chance to talk to—so we’re looking forward to it,” he added.
As a reminder, Trump ally Laura Loomer visited Ukraine and changed her stance on the war.
