On Thursday, August 13, an explosion occurred in occupied Sevastopol as two men were walking past a trash can. The explosives had been planted inside it. It is likely that the attempt was to kill Robert Shageev, the commander of the submarine “Zaporizhzhia.”
This was reported by civic activist and volunteer Serhiy Sternenko on Telegram.
According to preliminary reports, Robert Shagayev—commander of the submarine “Zaporizhzhia,” who betrayed Ukraine in 2014 and defected to the occupiers—has been eliminated.

According to Mash, the incident occurred on Stoletovsky Avenue. Eyewitnesses said the explosion was so loud that at first they thought a drone had crashed into the building.
