Ukraine to establish its first Scientific and Practical Center for Robotic Surgery

This was reported by Mykhailo Radutskyi, chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Public Health.

The center will combine complex surgeries for patients, training for a new generation of surgeons, education for medical professionals from all regions of the country, and international cooperation.

There are also plans to establish a specialized department at Shupyk National Medical Academy to train and provide continuing education for specialists.

In the near future, the plan is to launch educational programs, assemble a team, and begin clinical work. The next step will be to expand clinical specialties, and in the long term, to establish a national training center for medical professionals from all over Ukraine.

As a reminder, a Kyiv rescue worker shared her unique experience working with robots and drones: “The manufacturers were shocked.” In Kyiv, drones and ground robots are being used to fight fires, search for people, clear mines, inspect damaged buildings, and document the aftermath of Russian attacks.

On the eve of the professional holiday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded state honors to Ukrainian medical workers and presented awards to the families of deceased medical workers who were posthumously honored with state awards.
