Zelenskyy awarded Sean Penn, Levko Lukyanenko, and Alla Mazur the title of “National Legend of Ukraine”

Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that a number of Ukrainian and foreign figures had been honored with the “National Legend of Ukraine” state award. Among the recipients are actor and director Sean Penn, journalist Alla Mazur, and Ukrainian dissident and politician Levko Lukyanenko.
The president himself announced this on his Telegram channel.
Who Received the Award
In his post, Zelenskyy noted that the award went to people whom Ukraine is proud of and to whom it is grateful for their work.
Among the recipients were soccer player Ihor Belanov, composer Yevhen Stankovych, artist Tiberiy Silvashi, restaurateur José Andrés, sculptor Anatoliy Kushch, military personnel, and representatives from other fields.
The list also included members of the band “Braty Hadyukiny”—Serhiy Kuzminsky, Pavlo Krakhmalev, Mykhailo Lundin, and Ihor Melnychuk.

The President emphasized that Ukraine is shaped by people who, through their actions, make the state stronger, defend it, tell the world about the country, and preserve and develop its heritage.

He also expressed his gratitude to the Ukrainian military and to everyone who supports the Ukrainian people.
As a reminder, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared a message of congratulations on Independence Day that he received from U.S. President Donald Trump. In his message, the American leader highlighted the resilience of the Ukrainian people and the strong relations between the two countries, and expressed confidence in Ukraine’s future as a sovereign state.
