Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi held an emergency meeting with representatives of the business community, the retail sector, and logistics companies. The reason: systematic Russian attacks on businesses that supply goods to millions of Ukrainians.

He announced this on his Telegram channel.

The purpose of the meeting was to develop urgent solutions to prevent disruptions in the supply of food, medicine, and other essential goods, especially to regions near the front lines.

Koretskyy said that they are working with the business community to develop specific solutions to ensure the uninterrupted operation of enterprises. A separate meeting will be held in the near future with the leadership of the National Bank of Ukraine, the banking sector, and various ministries to discuss mechanisms for credit support.

Standard approaches do not work in wartime—quick and unconventional approaches are needed

At the same time, they are preparing measures to decentralize international logistics, expand the customs corridor, and insure against war risks.

The government is ready to provide businesses with priority access to available facilities to decentralize warehouse capacity. The Ministry of Economy, ARMA, and the State Property Fund have been tasked with preparing a list of such facilities within three days.

A separate area of focus is war risk insurance. We are counting on the support of our international partners in developing effective mechanisms

As a reminder, on August 5, Russia attacked Ukraine with 24 ballistic missiles, primarily targeting the Kyiv region. Warehouses belonging to logistics companies, retailers, and other businesses were destroyed. Toyota and LIQUI MOLY warehouses, as well as the distribution centers of “Silpo,” “Epicenter,” and Rozetka, were damaged.
