Arsen Zhumadilov Officially Steps Down as Head of the Defense Procurement Agency

Arsen Zhumadilov, head of the Defense Procurement Agency, has terminated his contract early and is stepping down from his position.
This was reported by Suspilne.
Zhumadilov announced that today, August 20, he submitted his resignation.
He will continue to perform his duties until August 31, after which he will hand over his responsibilities and officially step down from his leadership position.
According to the official, he will continue working through the end of August to streamline current processes and ensure a smooth transition to his successor.
Prior to his appointment as head of the Defense Procurement Agency, Zhumadilov headed the State Logistics Operator.
On March 6, 2025, he was dismissed from his position as head of the State Logistics Operator and appointed head of the Defense Procurement Agency. This occurred amid a conflict surrounding a contract involving the then-head of the Defense Procurement Agency, Marina Bezrukova. The then-Minister of Defense, Rustem Umerov, refused to renew her contract.
As a reminder, news of Zhumadilov’s dismissal emerged before the official announcement. On August 18, it was reported that Arsen Zhumadilov, Director General of the Defense Procurement Agency, had submitted his resignation effective September 1.
