Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, commented for the first time on reports that his name was mentioned in wiretap recordings involving Iryna Mudra, the former deputy head of the Office of the President.
Budanov said this in response to a question from hromadske.
Budanov confirmed that he had spoken with Iryna Mudra after her release.
However, he did not provide any further details regarding the content of their conversation or the circumstances under which his name might have been mentioned in the recordings.
I have never turned my back on people until the final conclusions are reached. If the court finds her guilty, that’s a different matter

As a reminder, it was previously reported that the High Anti-Corruption Court imposed a preventive measure on Iryna Mudra, the former deputy head of the Office of the President, who is implicated in the “Forest Gump” high-level corruption case.
Prior to that, on August 24, the High Anti-Corruption Court continued its consideration of a motion to impose a preventive measure on Iryna Mudriy, former deputy head of the Office of the President, whom NABU and the SAPO suspect of involvement in laundering 150 million hryvnia to post bail for one of the defendants in the “Midas” case.
A SAPO prosecutor stated that Mudriy and Mykytas systematically deleted information from their phones, destroyed documents related to the case, used foreign phone numbers, and communicated via the secure messaging app Threema.
