The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has appointed two new deputy defense ministers.
This was reported by the Ministry of Defense’s press service.
The new appointees are Sergiy Boyev, who will be responsible for European integration, and human rights activist Lyubov Galan, whose work will focus on developing and preserving human capital within the Armed Forces.
Sergiy Boyev has been appointed Deputy Minister of Defense for European Integration. His key responsibilities will include translating agreements with international partners into practical solutions for the Ukrainian military.
His task is to translate agreements with partners into solutions for the Defense Forces: funding, supplies, joint projects, the development of Ukraine’s defense industry, and long-term support programs

Lyubov Galan—a human rights advocate who co-founded and led the “Principle” Human Rights Center for Military Personnel—has been appointed to lead the Human Capital Development and Retention Division.
Her focus will be on issues related to effective troop recruitment, the creation of transparent and clear rules for career advancement, high-quality training of personnel, military medicine, and social protection for servicemembers and their families.
Lyubov is a human rights activist who co-founded and directed the “Principle” Human Rights Center for Military Personnel. Her experience is crucial for the systemic changes that the military needs to see.

As a reminder, the head of the Office of the President, Kirilo Budanov, welcomed the decision to appoint Mykhailo Drapato. He emphasized that the army trusts the new commander-in-chief.
