Trump's special envoys, Witkoff and Kushner, arrived in Kyiv for the first time

On Sunday, September 6, U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, arrived in Kyiv to hold talks with Ukrainian officials.
This is the first visit by U.S. negotiators to Ukraine since they became involved in the peace process to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian war.
In the capital, Witkoff and Kushner were met by representatives of the Ukrainian negotiating team—Head of the Office of the President Kirill Budanov, Chairman of the Servant of the People faction Davyd Arakhamia, First Deputy Head of the Office of the President Serhiy Kyslytsia, and Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service Rustem Umerov.
The visit by Trump’s representatives to Kyiv comes the day after their trip to Moscow.
