Three key areas: Zelenskyy outlines priorities for preparing for winter

He made this statement at a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council.

Zelenskyy cited the situation in the Middle East and possible political pressure as the reasons for the reduction in anti-ballistic air defense deliveries.

According to him, our partners would like Ukraine to be more accommodating, which is why we are currently facing a shortage of missiles.

The president added that we are moving toward developing our own air defense system.

The President also highlighted other challenges that are already in our hands. These include preparing for winter and strengthening the protection of critical infrastructure: energy, water, and gas supply facilities.

The President identified three main priorities for preparing for winter:

• strengthening the protection of critical infrastructure;
• ensuring the necessary quantity and quality of shelters;
• increasing anti-ballistic capabilities.

As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously instructed the National Security and Defense Council to review and assess the implementation of regional and local resilience plans. Those who fail to comply will be held accountable.
