In 2026, deliveries of anti-ballistic missiles and air defense systems from allies fell by two-thirds compared with the same period last year.

The president made this statement on his Telegram channel.

Zelenskyy emphasized that the reduction in military aid for air defense has been observed throughout the first half of this year, not just during the summer.

The president also noted that partners have the necessary stockpiles of anti-ballistic missiles, but their transfer requires appropriate political decisions.

Our partners have the missiles. It is important, however, that the necessary political decisions be made regarding their supply and the acceleration of production processes, particularly localization in Ukraine. This is what can significantly support not only our country but also the global protection of life

Volodymyr Zelenskyy
President of Ukraine

As a reminder, on the night of August 5, Russian occupation forces launched yet another massive combined strike against Ukrainian territory. The Kyiv region was the main target of the air attack.

In addition, as a result of an enemy strike on a non-residential building in the Holosiivskyi district of the capital, an industrial system containing approximately 300 liters of ammonia was damaged.
