Protests against the resignation of Mykhailo Fedorov as defense minister are continuing in the capital and a number of other cities in Ukraine.
This was reported by the SPF Telegram channel.
Although one of the protesters’ demands has already been met—Oleksandr Syrskyi has been dismissed from his post as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Mykhailo Drapatyi has been appointed in his place—people continue to take to the streets.
Currently, the number of participants is slightly lower than in previous days.
However, one of the rally’s organizers, Dmytro Koziatynskyi, has announced an indefinite protest set to begin on Friday if Fedorov is not reinstated to the Ministry of Defense.
As a reminder, we previously reported on the ongoing protests in Kyiv over Fedorov’s resignation. Fedorov also responded to Drapato’s appointment and outlined his main expectations.
In addition, Zelenskyy had previously offered Fedorov a new position in the government.
