The Verkhovna Rada summoned Andrii Pyshnyi, the head of the National Bank of Ukraine, to report on the state-owned “Sens Bank,” which is implicated in a corruption case.

This information comes from the live broadcast of the parliamentary session.

A total of 155 members of parliament voted in favor of summoning Andrii Pyshnyi. Pyshnyy is scheduled to appear before the Rada on August 20 at 11:00 a.m.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) is conducting a special operation called “Forrest Gump” to expose high-level corruption. According to the investigation, the suspects took control of the state-owned “SENS Bank” and used it for private interests, in particular to pay bail for an unnamed suspect in “Operation Midas.”

According to the publication hromadske, the money was collected to post bail for Herman Halushchenko. According to investigators, the criminal organization operated under the leadership of current and former members of parliament, with the participation of high-ranking officials from the Office of the President.

As a reminder, on the morning of August 19, NABU reported that, together with the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO), it was conducting a large-scale special operation called “Forest Gump” to expose a criminal organization led by current and former members of parliament. High-ranking officials from the Office of the President and other individuals are also implicated in the activities.

NABU and the SAPO released an excerpt from a conversation between individuals implicated in the new high-profile case involving members of parliament and officials from the Office of the President. Law enforcement officials announced the exposure of “high-level corruption,” which, in addition to Deputy Head of the Office of the President Iryna Mudra, involves members of parliament and the state-owned “SENS Bank.”
