Zelenskyy and Trump to Meet in Washington: Date Announced

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and U.S. President Donald Trump may meet in Washington on Tuesday, July 28.
RFE/RL correspondent Alex Raufoglu reported this, citing diplomatic sources.
According to him, the meeting between the leaders of the two countries will be an important diplomatic event. Zelenskyy and Trump last met in France and Turkey.
The journalist also recalled that on July 23, he asked U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio about the possibility of a new meeting with the Ukrainian side. At that time, Rubio stated that U.S. officials are in regular contact with Ukraine and are ready to meet with Ukrainian officials in the future.
As a reminder, Zelenskyy is considering a visit to the U.S. in July. Among the planned events were attendance at the funeral of Senator Lindsey Graham and a bilateral meeting with Trump as part of ongoing peace talks aimed at ending the war.
At the same time, Zelenskyy also stated that a new round of trilateral talks between Ukraine, the U.S., and Russia should take place before fall.
