A woman suspected of bombing a Russian Armed Forces officer in Sevastopol has been detained in Crimea

The woman detained was 32-year-old Margarita Reut, a native of Yaroslavl who had recently been living in Sochi.

According to the occupying security forces, the woman detonated a homemade explosive device planted in a trash can using a remote control as a Russian officer was passing by.

Russian media claim that the detainee confessed to the crime, stating that she received payment in cryptocurrency and does not regret her actions. After carrying out the explosion, she planned to fly abroad via Sochi.

It is worth noting that during questioning, Margarita emphasized that she does not regret what she did and added that she is ashamed to be Russian.

As a reminder, on Thursday, August 13, an explosion occurred in occupied Sevastopol as two men were walking past a trash can. The explosives had been planted inside it. It is likely that the attempt was to kill Robert Shageev, the commander of the submarine “Zaporizhzhia.”
