On the evening of September 8 and during the night of September 9, 2026, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of key military targets belonging to the Russian occupiers.

Between August 31 and September 6, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a number of key military and infrastructure targets on Russian territory and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

On the night of September 6–7, operators from the Department of Active Operations of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense reported that a Russian aircraft had been shot down on the temporarily occupied Crimean Peninsula.

During the first half of 2026, 284 criminal cases involving charges of espionage and treason were heard in Russia. One in every thirteen cases was opened in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea.

As a result of Russian air defense systems, a 50-hectare forest fire broke out near occupied Yalta. Firefighters have been trying to contain the blaze for three days now.

On the night of August 16, the Ukrainian Navy struck the launch sites and deployment locations of the Russian “Bastion” coastal missile system in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

On the night of August 13, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a series of strikes against enemy military targets on enemy territory and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. In particular, the “Nebo-U” radar station in Sevastopol was struck.

On August 12, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a series of strikes against enemy military targets in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea.

The so-called FSB in occupied Crimea and Sevastopol announced the arrest of the perpetrator of the explosion in Sevastopol, which resulted in the death of a Russian serviceman.
